Mothers’ Union is seeking to appoint a non-Executive Board member, with particular expertise in International Development. The Charity is going through an exciting period of transformation, as it looks back to the principles upon which it was founded, to refresh ways of working, and set the future direction. You will have the opportunity to play a critical guiding and advising role as Mothers’ Union develops a strategy for the development of it programme work internationally.
The central charity is governed by Royal Charter. Our Board Members are elected by the membership and the Committee will meet at various times during the year as well as participate in occasional calls and email communication.
This exciting opportunity requires an individual with a demonstrable record in developing and managing major international programmes, including monitoring and evaluation.
The ideal person would also have:
Prior experience as a Charity Trustee
Appreciation of a member-led membership organisation
Be a practising Christian (must be empathetic and comfortable in working within a Christian environment)
Experience of organisational renewal/ change management and planning
Ability to identify creative solutions with limited resource availability
These roles are unpaid but reasonable travel expenses will be reimbursed.
