Mothers’ Union hosts a RISE UP against domestic abuse fringe event at Synod

We are delighted to be delivering a fringe event centred on our RISE UP against domestic abuse campaign.

09 Feb 2024

The event is taking place on 26 February at 1pm in The Church House Conference centre, Westminster.

RISE UP is an acronym for Respond, Inform, Support, Empower, Unite and Pray.

This campaign is just one of the steps in our ongoing commitment to support and strengthen communities and families.

We believe that by joining the Mothers’ Union members, church and community together we can take steps that will create informed churches that can support congregations and the wider community and will lead to a reduction in cases of domestic abuse.

This is a real opportunity to engage with all levels of the Church of England leadership on this key issue and show how we can unite to raise awareness and reduce incidents of domestic abuse in our communities.

It's an honour for us to have the space to run an event and to be a part of all that God is doing through the Church of England.

We will be joined by Mothers’ Union Worldwide President, Sheran Harper who will welcome guests and share why she feels this initiative to build awareness of domestic abuse and take practical steps to protect families and communities is so essential.
