While much of the population is concentrated in the southern regions, especially along the coast, Ghana’s democratic foundations and relative peace have helped to fuel economic growth and attract a growing number of tourists. 

Mothers’ Union in Ghana is a strong and active presence, with over 2,500 members working to support people at every stage of life demonstrating a deep commitment to nurturing family life and community wellbeing. The organisation’s outreach spans a wide variety of programmes tailored to meet local needs, including school food programme for improved learning outcomes, and campaigns for awareness of support for older people.
