United States of America
The United States of America (USA) is the world’s third most populous country with over 35 million people and has the largest economy by nominal GDP. Despite its wealth, poverty, deprivation, unemployment and social needs remain significant.
Mothers’ Union has had members in the USA since the early 1900s, with formal branches established in the 1980s. Today, there are 13 branches across several states and around 500 members. Their work includes feeding programmes, prison ministry, support for women’s refuges and teen mothers, baptism preparation, and outreach to the sick and housebound.
