The Diocese of Bath & Wells consists of the Archdeaconries of Taunton, Wells and Bath.
The Diocese of Bath & Wells has a large, active Mothers’ Union that work hard supporting families and those in need in various ways. We run many different projects on a diocesan, deanery and branch level.
In Bath & Wells we have 1,261 Mothers' Union members in over 45 branches. The branches meet regularly and support a wide variety of projects both in and outside of the diocese. For a full list of all our branches arranged by deanery please visit our website.

You can join as a branch member and get involved with Mothers' Union at a local level. Branches are attached to parishes, and often meet up to pray and support members, learn more about the work of Mothers' Union, and get involved with projects and campaigns. The programme is one of the most cost-effective literacy programmes in the world. We train community volunteers as literacy facilitators, who are then equipped to run literacy circles in their own community
