Mothers’ Union in the Diocese of Derby covers the city of Derby and the county of Derbyshire
Members in the diocese enthusiastically support Mothers’ Union initiatives and projects, as well as supporting activities arranged or coordinated by their churches and parishes.
Members promote family life through parenting group work, marriage support and campaigning for family-supportive policies, whilst at the same time upholding families affected by poverty, homelessness, imprisonment and relationship break-down.

Members are not all mothers, or even all women. Mothers’ Union provides a network for all our four million members, through which they can serve Christ in their own community – through prayer, financial support and actively working at the grassroot level in programmes that meet local need.
We have three forms of membership in the diocese: Branch, Diocesan and Indoor Membership.
Mothers’ Union campaigns around the world, through our 4 million members in 84 countries, for an end to gender-based violence – violence carried out most often against women and girls because of their gender
