Mothers’ Union in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly believes that God wants people to flourish through happy family lives. Our branch members come together to enjoy good company, pray for parents and children, and do what we can to help.

Our aim is to make a positive difference to families of all shapes and sizes, of any faith or none. Mothers’ Union is not only for mothers, and not only for women. Everyone – members, friends and supporters - is welcome to our sociable meetings.

Our work:

  • Pray… for positive family relationships
  • Campaign… against gender-based violence and modern slavery
  • Knit… ‘Teddy Vean’ for local children and tiny blankets for premature babies
  • Give… grants for treats for children with disabilities and families in men’s and women’s refuges
  • Organise… events such as Lady Day and Advent services and the annual free Family Fun Day at Truro Cathedral
  • Support… local charities such as Kernow Young Carers, the Grace Project and S.P.A.C.E for disabled young people and their families.
