Diocese of Winchester

We are privileged to be the birthplace of Mothers’ Union which started in the vicarage in the village of Old Alresford some eight miles from Winchester and enjoy welcoming visitors from all around the UK and the world.

We seek to follow Mary Sumner’s vision to support families in caring for their members, and to campaign for a fairer world. As well as helping with diocesan initiatives, our groups run their own projects, and meet for worship and fellowship.
