Diocese of Salisbury
Diocese of Sheffield
Mothers’ Union in the Diocese of Sheffield covers south Yorkshire and the southern parts of East Riding of Yorkshire.
Groups meet regularly for worship, fun and fellowship as well as supporting the work in their parish. We meet together as a diocese at a monthly coffee morning in Sheffield Cathedral with a homemade produce stall. We also organise family fun days, quiet days, and other events across the diocese both to promote the work of Mothers’ Union as outreach and to support our members.
Diocese of Sodor & Man
The Diocese of Sodor & Man was originally much larger, today it covers just the Isle of Man.
The Isle of Man is divided into two areas we call Joint Mission Partnerships. There are Mothers’ Union groups based at churches in each Joint Mission Partnership.
Diocese of Southwark
Our members are encouraged to get involved in supporting families of every kind – by campaigning for social justice – through giving practical help with projects large and small, to raising money to enhance the lives of families throughout the world; and all these through prayerful support.
Diocese of Southwell & Nottingham
Mothers’ Union in the Diocese of Southwell & Nottingham covers Nottinghamshire and part of south Yorkshire.
We are a passionate charity who work in many practical ways to support family life including helping families to explore and enjoy faith together.
Mothers’ Union groups provide for social and pastoral needs of members, often including lunch or afternoon tea. Speakers are invited to speak on a range of subjects of general interest and to raise awareness of issues and current and future projects.
Diocese of St Albans
Mothers’ Union in the Diocese of St Albans covers the counties of Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire.
Mothers’ Union is active throughout the diocese, looking to the future to get more involved locally by promoting foodbanks, providing meals on a Sunday, helping the homeless, providing support for parents nationally and internationally by continuing to campaign to governments on social policies e.g. violence in families.
