Governance
At Mothers’ Union, strong and transparent governance is at the heart of our mission. Our governance structures ensure that we remain accountable to our members, partners, and the communities we serve.
We are guided by a Board of Trustees, elected from within our membership, who bring a wealth of experience and commitment to the organisation. Together with our senior leadership team, they provide strategic oversight, uphold our values, and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
We are committed to maintaining integrity, inclusivity, and transparency in all that we do.
Historic Context
Having established its constitution in 1896, Mothers’ Union was granted a Royal Charter in 1926 which has been updated as required, most recently in 2018.
We are registered with the Charity Commission in England and Wales (240531).
