Parenting Programme

Empowering individuals and communities to overcome common parenting challenges

We come alongside parents in all situations and support families in all their forms

Our Parenting Programme sees local facilitators deliver an 8–12-week course with community groups to discuss different topics and share parenting experiences. Locally relevant resources guide groups through sessions that cover the highs and lows of parenting, the parent-child relationship and sensitive issues such as sex education. The programme empowers individuals and brings together communities from varying ethnicities and backgrounds to overcome common parenting challenges collectively.

“...I learned how to speak to my children instead of beating them.”

The future of parenting

Since 2020, we have been reviewing our parenting programme and our support for parents and carers both in our worldwide programmes and in Britain and Ireland. Moving forward, we will be working together as one global movement, and we look forward to sharing more about our new look programme and how we will be building and strengthening the work started by Mary Sumner in supporting parents and carers and enabling families to flourish.
