Mary Sumner Day at Brede
The Brede Branch celebrates Mary Sumner Day with a special church service and picnic to mark this important date in the Mothers' Union calendar.
The Event was very well supported by other Mother’s Union branches in Sussex. It was magnificent to see so many banners and the church was nearly filled. The service was led by Brede Mother’s Union member the Reverend Martin Harper, who has retired now. The service was followed with a picnic in the church which was just as well because the weather was a bit inclement. The buzz of friendly chatter was wonderful to hear, and people certainly seemed reluctant to leave.
Brede Branch members would like to thank you all for coming and making it such a special occasion.
