Mothers' Union Diocesan President's Prayer Walk Passes Through Northampton
Jill Cannings, President of the Mothers' Union for the Peterborough Diocese, is currently undertaking a 70km Prayer Walk around the diocese to raise both the profile of our organisation and money towards MU projects both at home and abroad.
To mark her 70th Birthday this year, Jill is undertaking the 70km walk over two weeks, visiting a variety of churches and Mothers' Union branches. Yesterday, (Monday 15 July), she passed through Northampton visiting Weston Favell, Abington, Christchurch and St. Albans churches. Different members are walking with her each day on each of the stages.
She was met at Abington Church by Branch Leader Cathy Tinsley and some of the members of Abington Church Mothers' Union, some of whom then continued on the walk with her.
With still five days of her walk to go, Jill's justgiving page had already raised virtually £1,300 of her £2,000 target for MU projects. Anyone who would like to support Jill's walk, can do so by donating here
