All Ireland Mothers' Union: A Movement on the Move
All Ireland Mothers' Union (MU) continues to make strides in its mission to strengthen families, develop communities, and advocate for change.
Recently, Ish Lennox, the Faith and Church Relations Manager, visited All Ireland MU to reflect on the Triennium theme, Transformation Now.
During her visit, she encouraged the use of faith resources to grow membership, building on initiatives such as Thy Kingdom Come, where members were encouraged to pray for five individuals and invite one to a MU event—a gesture many found inspiring.
A highlight of the visit was the dedication of the new MU chapel at the Cathedral Church, Dublin. This chapel is equipped with webcam facilities, enabling more people to join in streamed MU events, fostering a vibrant community of faith and fellowship.
Mothers' Union across Britain and Ireland seeks to support clergy. In All Ireland MU, members shared that they support clergy and ordinands through various means, including financial gifts to ordinands at Christmas and ongoing support to clergy from both members and diocesan chaplains. The visit also provided the opportunity to meet with MU chaplains, where they discussed how this year's Advent resources could help people new to MU experience the faith, fun, and fellowship that we all enjoy so much.
