Mothers' Union Diocese of Sodor & Man

The Isle of Man is divided into two areas we call Joint Mission Partnerships. There are Mothers' Union groups -  called branches - based at churches in each Joint Mission Partnership.

Our work:

• PRISON MINISTRY: A rota of Mothers' Union members provide a creche in the prison visiting hall, during weekend visiting times.  We provide books, toys and games for all ages, and supervise the children, so adult family members are left free to visit.  
• HOSPITAL MINISTRY: Emergency admission to hospital often means finding yourself in a ward with all your medical needs met, but without basic toiletries - we know they're not essential to recovery, but they can make a hospital stay more comfortable! Mothers' Union make up  bags for men and women, containing basic personal care items, and provide  these to the nursing staff, to distribute as necessary. 
• ISLE OF MAN FOOD BANK: Mothers' Union members help to staff Food Bank depots around the Island
