White and purple ribbon for No More 1 in 3
For MU's Global Day of Action on Saturday 25th November, we are asking members to create and wear ribbons with white and purple ribbon.
If you get a thick white ribbon and a thinner purple ribbon and cross them over there will be three parts: two white and one purple, to represent the 1 in 3 women who will suffer from some form of abuse throughout her life. The ribbon could look like this.
Hopefully your ribbon will spark conversations where you can talk about Mothers’ Union and our stance on domestic abuse.
You can leave your ribbons in public places, such as on park benches or in churches and attach a label explaining our campaign. Please do take a photo of the ribbon and label and share it on social media with the following tags: #NoMore1in3, @MothersUnion #16DaysofActivism
