The Diocese of Bangor covers Ynys Môn (Anglesey), Gwynedd and parts of North Powys to include Llanidloes
In the Diocese of Bangor everyone is an “MU Member Bangor Diocese”. Many members choose to meet as a branch, whilst others just attend diocesan events. Indoor members are able to pray for our work, whilst others show their support for Mothers’ Union by being a “Pay and Pray” member.
For all members our vision is to see a world where God’s love is shown through loving, respectful and flourishing relationships.
We aim to work in our own communities and to support the work worldwide financially.
Some of our outreach work includes:
Providing emergency toiletry bags for the hospital
Knitting items for premature babies
Supporting Women’s Aid refuges
Providing “Away From It All” short breaks for families in need
Knitting items to help refugee families
Befriending the lonely at lunch and afternoon tea clubs.
We campaign during the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence.
We support Mothers' Union appeals on Mothering Sunday, Summer of Hope, Harvest and Christmas.
Mothers’ Union membership in this diocese is fully inclusive and flexible; as you can choose your level of activity and commitment. We appreciate those who wish to support the work of Mothers’ Union by being a “Pay and Pray” member.
Further information is available from our primary contact.
Through prayer, campaigning and volunteering our members bring about positive changes worldwide and in our own communities.
